Class Evaluation

1.I like several things from this class. One of them is learning how to be a ctr student. I really like to learn that in order to achieve to reach high in life, you have to be a ctr person. I really like to learn about these lessons through student success statements. I also like helping around the class,which is another thing I enjoy about it.

2. In this class, there is not a thing that I don't like. I think that this class has no flaws, nor things that I don't like. One thing I kind of don't like though is that there isn't really any typing websites that we are allowed to use.

3.One thing that can be change is the amount of websites of typing we are available to. I think that that is all, because I think that there is no other thing that has to be changed. Another thing would be giving free time to those who finish their assignments and any other thing that they are finished with.

4. One highlight would be when we saw the video of the kid who lit up the grass of his back yard because he was disobedient. This is a highlight because we learned how obedience is very important to be a ctr person

5.I kind of did do my best in this class. I always try on finishing my assignments with effort. I not only try hard on finishing things, but also try hard on learning how to type.

6. I'm going to be honest, I really don't do this daily, because I am usually busy. I do this like 4-5 times a week. Though even though I don't do this daily, I am going to try to put this as a daily task, even if i don’t have the time.

7. I am committed to do a ctr student. One thing that I learned is to be a ctr person this year. Doing the correct choice has helped me a lot throughout this semester. So I am committed to do be a ctr person. I have started to be more successful than before because I decided to become a ctr person.

Student Success Statement

“When you tell one lie it leads to another” means that another lie will be made up after a lie

A lie can change what others think, and you fool them. If you were to be caught in a lie, the person you lied to would lose trust on you. So to keep your lie from being uncovered, you will lie even more. So you are risking the chance of others figuring you are a liar by lieing more. These extra lives would usually make your lies more believable. AN example would be someone who couldn't go with his group to finish a project. That student didn't want to do the project, so the student lied that he couldn't go because he had to go to the doctor. The group then decided to work without him. It was later found that the group knew that he didn't go to the doctor from asking the mom of the kid. He then said that his appointment was moved to another day. So if you lie, it can lead to another.

It was about a kid named Patrick Curium who got stung by a scorpion. It happened when Patrick and his family went to camp in the desert. The parents of the kid told Patrick that he should always wear his shoes instead of flip flops when he goes exploring. Patrick disobeyed that and payed the consequences. While he was exploring with his flip flops, he got stung by a scorpion. He began to scream, and his parents went to where he was at. Immediately they went to the van and headed to the nearest hospital. The kid luckily managed to survive. The kid learned a valuable lesson:always wear shoes instead of flip flops., and listen to the right. I feel very happy that he survived, and learned that parents don’t put rules to annoy you, but do it for your good. This video shows how life really is, and that we should listen, not disobey.

“Always do Right”

It means that the thing you should always do is choose the right. In life we all have decisions that we make. In those situations we have to either choose the right or bad. That is why you should always do the right. You should always do the right because it is the the decision that makes things better. If you choose the wrong, you will make things bead, which causes consequences. Imagine a man who goes to college. That college student is invited to a party, so he decides to go. The people in the party have drugs and alcohol. The student friend invites him to try out these things. The two decisions are yes and no. Each decision has its effect, like cause and effect. To stay out of the bad, just say “no” to reject it. Even though choosing the right may make others think you are a losers, your decisions will be a role model to others including your future sons/daughters.

WW2

There was several countries that fought against the Nazis. All the countries that fought against Germany, and/or its other allies, were U.S.A, Soviet Union, Britain, Canada, France, Australia, and China. WW2 mainly happened in arts of European countries, islands in the pacific ocean, and countries in eastern Asia. There was many events in world war 2, like in September 1939, where the axis power invades Poland. Another event would be bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 7,1941. The event of dropping of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima  August 6,1945, lead to the retreat of Japan. The end of WW2 happened in September 2,1945, when Japan surrendered. To show respect to WW2 veterans, we can listen to their stories, and we can also thank them for fighting for their nation,and for fighting to make this war over with.

Challenges Teens Face Today

Today teens face drugs, gangs, depression, academic problems, cyber addiction,bullying,and more. These problems influence not only them as teens, but also their future. Currently I am kind of facing academic problems and cyber addiction. In academic problems, I am struggling a little to pass my test and quizzes in my English class. I am trying to keep up with my work, and now I am studying a lot harder. Also I have cyber addition, because I am always in my phone. I use my phone for about 4 hours a day, and keeps me from doing more important stuff. I decided to first do the most important things before using my phone. These two issues come hand-in-hand, because my phone keeps me from studying, which affects my academic progress. Being a ctr person makes you choose decisions that are good, and avoid the bad ones. These things that teens face are usually caused by bad decisions. If teens where ctr people, then they wouldn't be facing with this at the first place. They would chooses the good decisions instead of the bad. Well, I can help them by telling them that we are all into this together. What I'm referring to is that there is many teens in the world who are also facing these challenges, so they are not alone. There is many other teens out there who know how they are feeling. I would also tell them to tell people you trust about your challenges, so you can be supported through what you are going through.

Teens have their parents, who need to be supported by them. This is important because it helps the teens know that they are others supporting them.

Student Success Statement

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.” has a very good meaning and was written by president John F. Kennedy. It means that physical activity (like running) does benefit your health,but also makes your intelligence and your skill work at best. When we get sick, we can’t really do things of our daily lives because it prevents us to do so. So your body wouldn’t function properly. In order to be at full potential, we need to be healthy. We also have things that we try to memorize, skill to perform, or learning things. It would be best to do those things if you are healthy. Exercise/physical activity helps to prevent getting unhealthy. This is good because if you are unhealthy, you won't have your skill and intelligence at your highest peak. Imagine you trying to learn several soccer tricks that are very difficult to understand. You have a sore throat, and can't perform the tricks properly. When you become better(heal yourself), you will be able to do the soccer tricks. So in order to go full intelligent for a test, be healthy.

Health Science Librarian

Health Science librarians are specialist who organize, categorize and obtain library materials. They help people like patients by giving them the information that they need. They also help health professionals by giving them access the current information that they are looking for.

Salary : $45,000-$50,000

Education

In order to be a health science librarian, you first have to graduate from high school. Then you must get a 4 year bachelor's degree in computer science or science. Then you have to get a master's degree in library science. You then can be certified as a health science librarian, but it isn’t required.

There is a slow increase for this job, but there isn’t really any demand for this job. I think this is a very good  job, because the salary is medium. Also this job seems very easy, even though it is a very busy job with the organization of the information.

'Kindness is the Essence of Greatness"

“Kindness is the Essence of greatness” means that the real and best type of greatness is kindness. We all have kindness once in awhile. There is a lot of greatness throughout the world. The essence of greatness  is kindness, because nothing else is more real and true then it. It means that we are kind when we are too great. Nothing else is the essence of greatness. Essence means real, basic , or the true thing of something. Greatness causes impressiveness, and respect to others. Though this can actually lead to kindness. Imagine being overpowered in a sport.  This greatness can affect others.This happened in the real world today, for example, I saw in TV where a soccer player gave a soccer ball to a kid in the benches, during a soccer game. He was generous enough to interrupt the game to give a kid a ball. That is very kind of the soccer. Most players would accept this. In fact this leads to kindness because these players want to see their teammates become better like them.

Thanksgiving week

My week was very lit. I did a lot of things during my week. I did homework, which was a lot. I had to finish 3 essays, math problems, and science homework. I watched several soccer matches, especially the match between America vs Chivas. I was mostly at my house during the whole vacation. I was sometimes with my friends, who are lit. I watched like 2 movies with my siblings. I also played soccer with my family members. On thanksgiving, I  celebrated it with over 25 members. It was very good day because we were together at one place.We had a great feast, and I really had a great time. I went to black friday shopping with my parents. We bought several things, like a new desktop. I spent some days doing homework, including reading a book. I have completed my assignments I was assigned to do. I spent a great time with my family and friends .

“If it is not right do not do do it, if it is not true do not say it” is a quote from Marcus Aurelius. It means that we shouldn't’ do actions that are not correct. We do many decisions and we may know something is wrong, and may still do the bad. You should avoid it at al cost, because you don't want to be the one suffering. An example would be a kid who joined a gang. That kid knows it’s wrong, but wanted to have fun. That kid got arrested later on, for doing the wrong. You shouldn’t also say lies and gossip to others. We may lie to make us seem innocent, or for other reasons.By doing so, you will complicate the problems. You also shouldn’t say gossip that isn’t lies towards others. An example would be a someone who lied to get out of the fact that he did grafity. That person complicates things, because the evidence and lies don’t match, You will suffer more if you tell a lie, so always tell the truth.

Thanksgiving is day that is celebrated in the 4th Thursday of November. Thanksgiving is a day where we give thanks for what god has offered us, and for being thanked for things that have happened. There is debate on the origins of thanksgiving. Indian Americans would always have ceremonies to celebrate due to good harvest in spring.  The settlers celebrated this in celebrated in 1621, where  Plymouth colonist and Indian Americans had a peaceful gathering. Overtime, in the 1600s and onwards, it became more celebrated throughout the years. to celebrate this in America. America celebrated this as a way for giving thank. It became official in 1783, where George Washington celebrated this in the first official thanksgiving. Today, we usually celebrate this holiday with cooked turkey, mashed potato, pasta, and beans. In the table,we give our thanks to anything before we eat. Reflection:I think that thanksgiving is a holiday we shouldn’t only celebrate, but a day where we show everything we are grateful. It is a good holiday from the past 300 years. I like celebrating this holiday, because many families go together to share things we give thanks to.

“Doing what is right, fair, and honorable is more important than winning or losing” was written by Chick Moorman. It means that it is better to play fair than to cheat and not play by the rules. It is better because it comes to show you play fair and makes the “game” have the true champion. Even if you lose, it is still fair to play by the rules. An example would be a team going against their classic rivals for semifinals. The team is losing by a lot, so they decide to play cruel. The team members try to play unfair by trying to injure the best player of the rivaling team. That is unfair, because the rivaling team took efforts to win. It is more important to play clean and with no fouls because you are doing what is wrong to prevent them from winning, or stopping them from scoring more in the incorrect manner. That’s why it’s always good to play fair, with no cheats.

“Honesty is the best policy” was written by Mark Twain. It means that being honest is the best action. A policy that we usually don’t follow is being honest. We lie every time per day. This means that the wort policy is to become a lier. The quote means that we shouldn't tell lies. It means that we should tell someone the truth than a lie. An example would be that someone committed a crime. He wanted to blame someone else for his crime. Though if a he lied , he would live with a poor heart for his life. So the man told the truth that he did the crime. Even though a lie can change and save you from situations, things can get messed up have have no order. So always tell the truth.

Veterans day is the day that honors military veterans. Veterans day is in November 11.The purpose is to show respect to those veterans from the United States. We should honor those in veterans day because it shows that we share thanks to those who served in military. These veterans fought for the country, and even gave their lives for it. One way to support veterans is to go to a veteran and to make them tell their story. Veterans have stories full of bravery and full of fights. You can also visit a veteran in the hospital. You can also tell thank you to a veteran. You can attend to veteran parades and events.

Veterans day shows the support to those  who fought in wars. There is a few veterans left existing from WW2. I say that veterans day is a good day to honor them veterans. In a few years, the veterans from ww2 won’t exist, that’s why we have veterans day supporting dead and alive veterans. --------------------------------

“These are the 3 magic keys to living your life with integrity 1.Have the courage to say no 2.Have the courage to face the truth 3.Do the right thing because it is right”  was a quote written by W.Clement Stone. It means that in order to be honest and good, one way will have to be by you having to say no to bad decisions. There is many bad decisions we can fall for. If we avoid them and reject them, we will become a person going to the right path. We are also supposed to have the courage to face the truth. The truth hurts sometimes, and in order to have a life with integrity, you have to be courageous and accept the truth. An example would be a teen, who was never honest as she told everyone she didn’t do drugs. One day, she went to the hospital for regular check up. She had to face the truth if she was endangering her life with the drugs. The third key to having integrity in your life is to do the right, because it is always right. Imagine if someone never had these keys. We would be dishonest, and never choose the correct path to a great life.Always choose the right decision.

The parts of the statement  “He walked with wise men shall be wise” and “a companion of fools shall be destroyed” are opposites. It means that if you hangout with people that help and benefit you, will make you a good person. If you hangout with bad people who do bad decisions, you will go down in life like them. In reality, people who help each other and don’t do drugs will succeed in life. Those people that you hang out with are like your role models. If you hang out with bad people you will also decide to become bad. If you hang out with good people, they will become your role model so you will also become good. An example if you hang out with bad people would be someone that has good grades in school. That person decides to hangout with popular kids. The person decided to join them on whatever they do, like to smoke wee, and realized that since they fail classes, the student should too. So the student went down with the popular kids. If the person hanged out with good students, then it would have not ended like this.

It started with the two teams. Gainesville tornadoes team didn’t have any fans, which made that team sad. One day, against a team, the team was surprised,. There was many fans from the other team, supporting them. The team had it’s own cheerleaders and fans. The team was very surprised and happy. I feel very happy about hearing this story. In the video, even a kid said that it was it didn’t feel right without any supporters. That became a reality, where there was a lot of fans. It made me feel that things can be accomplished.

“The best recreation is to do good” was written by William Penn. It means that the best way to start would be by doing something good. Many people are bad, and we think that there’s always going to do something. But it isn't late to recreate by doing something good.r. The best way to recreate would be by doing a good deed like helping people, or by not doing anything dangerous. In order to recreate yourself by doing good, you have to follow good qualities a good person would do. Examples are being obedient, honest, respectful, etc. This would also mean that the worst way to recreate yourself is to do bad. Imagine a kid who wanted to hang out with his friends. His friends do drugs, so a good recreation would be doing something he enjoys that he likes. By doing the best recreation, he’ll stay out of danger because he chose the right. Doing things that are good makes you a good person.

The two student success statement of today are “Right is right, even if everyone is against it” and “wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it”. This was written by William Penn. So the first quote mean that no matter if everyone doesn’t go along with your choice, it is still right. In many cases we know what is correct and maybe your friends don’t get along with it. Imagine your friends are planning to do something bad like vandalizing the school. You say you won’;t go along with them. Though, if everyone thinks something isn’t wrong, it is still wrong, no matter what. No matter how many people go for the bad, it won’t change the fact that it is bad. An example would be many people using drugs on a party. You know it’s bad, but everyone is using it, so it isn’t bad, right? Well no matter how many people are doing bad, you know you shouldn’t follow. Also, if everyone is against what you think, even if it’s right, just follow whats correct.

"Don't Sacrifice what you want most for what you want now. Write down what you want most and see it often." was written by Peter Vidmar. Peter was the gold medal athlete in gymnasium, so his statement must work for everyone. It means that you should work for something you really want instead of wasting time on something you enjoy. It also means that you should write down what you want and avoid things that can destroy that goal. We all have something we want and we try to work for it. Though usually it's hard to work for it because there is some obstacles. These choices and obstacles can only avoid our thing that we want. An example would be trying to lose weight. You try to lose weight, but then your friends invite you to eat. You were gonna go work out, so you have a decision. From the statement above, you should go work out to lose weight.

Definition: A homecoming where we welcome back students who used to attend to a school/college . It is a tradition because it usually happens on October or September.   Homecoming started since the early 1910s. Baylor University had the idea but didn’t use it. The first homecoming event was by Illinois in 1910. In a match between Tigers and Jay Hawks, the director Chester Brewer said to come home, where a lot of former students went.This tradition of homecoming spread throughout the country. We celebrate because we celebrate it to those who used to go to the school. And we also celebrate it to show our school spirit. We call it homecoming because it originated from what Chester Brewer said. He said come home to former students,, which means to go visit the school you came from. It changed to homecoming, meaning almost the same thing. Even though many schools have their own tradition, most of the time there is a game, then there is a semi-formal game. There is sometimes a parade to celebrate those former students.

I say homecoming is very good to those students who went to that school. It shows how we still honor former students.
