Memorial Day

1. Memorial day is a day where we remember the people that have died for their country.
2. This year it is going to be at the 29 of May 2017. Memorial day is always in the last monday of May.
3. There are many ways you can honor those people by going to a parade, and by trying to learn about the lives of each of the individual soldiers.

5,6,7. To celebrate memorial day, I would simply give thanks to the many soldiers. Memorial day is a very important holiday. There are many of soldiers who have died throughout time. During the civil war,  millions of Americans died. To honor those who died, they were honored. Not only in civil war, but in wars like WW1 AND WW2, many of America's died from combat. To honor those who died, I will give thanks to those who fought for the nation. They should be granted thanks as without their perseverance, your nation wouldn’t be what it is today. Protecting our nation is their duty. They are willing to die for our nation. Honoring them is something that will help them be remembered. I feel that everyone should celebrate it as everyone should know about those who saved our country.

The topic I chose was biology

I chose this topic because I feel that biology is something that would fit me as a career and that biology is something very amazing. Also i chose this topic because it is somewhat simple to write on. The topic of biology is about the study of living organisms. In biology, they cover everything on living things like how a living thing survive and their origins. They cover everything from living things. They cover a diverse areas of biology, like environmental biology to cell biology. Specifically there is a study of different parts of biology, like cell biology, and animal biology. Honestly biology is one of the many things that fascinates me. Biology is so diverse, where each topic of it connects to the rest. Biology is a major part of science, along with physics and chemistry. Those topics are related in someway, which makes me inserted in not only biology, but also in science itself. Biology involves everything about living things. Learning about living things is important because it can help us as this can help us fight off diseases, and learn about the many intelligent mechanisms other organism use. There is cell biology, evolution, environment, and anatomy. These are very interesting topics. These are the many things about biology to understand about living organism. Biology covers the many things that science itself covers. In cell biology, the study is about how cells survive and manage. In evolution, they talk about the origin of the many organism living today and how they changed. Environment biology is studying how different living organism manage in a variety of habitats.Anatomy finally talks the insides of organisms and how their insides function.

School Break Day

Throughout the school break, I did some things that were very perk, but I most of the things I did weren’t. I slept didi homework, played video games and other things like playing soccer outside my house. I went to 2 parties, each one each saturday. I went to church and my church classes every sunday, and I celebrated the holy days.  I didn't meet anyone new, but I was able to talk to some family members I haven’t seen since a long time.  I went to the park and I played soccer with some friends on the last day of school break. I also watched the soccer from the Liga Mx. I didn’t read any books, except a section of the bible during church school. I did watch some movies, like the new movie from Triple x. In the school break, I did ctr actions, by helping with the many chores around the house. I only got hw from my Geometry class. I had to do 2 ixl set of problems, and had to do sohcahtoa math problems. I think that my vacations went to fast, but at the same time, I thought it would be better that the excitations ended because I felt like I was bored. During the vacations, I mostly spent indoors either watching t.v, playing video games, or doing hw.

St Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick was a christian Missionary who lived during the 5th century. He was born in Great Britain, but he lived in Ireland, where he was a christian missionary. He did a lot of things like go to churches like Old Catholic church, and several other churches in Ireland. He spread Christianity throughout Ireland.

It’s purpose is to celebrate about St Patrick, who was a Saint in Ireland. It is a religious ceremony in Ireland to remember him. Although, here in America it is about clovers, and green, we don’t know what is the true reason why we celebrate it.

It is designated when it is because that was the day that Saint Patrick died. So in honor of him, it is celebrated in his death.\

There is a curtain color is green and it is used mainly because those were the colors that represent Ireland. Green has been used throughout history in many revolutions, and also, in the past when Irish immigrants moved to U.S.A, the Irish immigrant did protest wearing green. So the color green isn’t really related to St Patrick, but to the Irish.

Most Americans don’t know the true story of this Holiday. I thought that it was about the leprechaun and clover, but in reality it is celebrated to honor St Patrick. Also I didn’t know about it’s origin. It is an irish holiday.

“Presidents Day”

President’s day is a holiday celebrated in America, that honors presidents from the past. It is also known as Washington's b-day because he was the first president. This day honors the presidents and honors what good things they have done to the nation. It is celebrated in the third monday of February. During president’s day, you can show honor by going to the national to see the monument of the presidents. You can also give respect during president's day by giving thanks to them for what they have done to the nation(well excluding the current one). By giving thanks to the president's their work is honored and remembered.

Today is valentine's day, where people show love to others. Valentine’s day has a history. Though there is a lot of stories and legends that go to the origin of Valentine’s day. One of them is a legend of a guy named valentine who was a priest of the third century. In the 3rd century, Emperor Claudius had gave an order that soldiers were better off being single than being married. He gave an order where young men couldn't get married. Valentine thought that that was very dumb and unfair order so he began to disobey the order. He performed marriages to young people even though it was illegal to do so. When the emperor found out, he ordered for Valentine to get killed. As he was going to get killed, a man named Asterius wanted Saint Valentine to pray for her blind daughter. The daughter of Asterios was able to see after that, and then Valentine gave a card to the daughter that said “from your valentine.” Sadly after that Valentine was killed. There is other origins of this as there were other two Valentine Saints. There were several legends about Saint Valentine's, but historians don’t know which one is the origin of Valentine's day. Also little is known about these Saint Valentines.   Another origin is that valentine's day originated from a guy named Chaucer. He made Valentine's day be connected with romance by writing a poem towards the relationship of  Anne of Bohemia and Richard ll. Chaucer linked Valentine’s day with the relationship of the two royalties. The name of his poem is called “The Parliament of the Fowls” The origin of the may not be exactly known, because the history of Valentine's day has many confusion and little information. Though even though these legends of Saint Valentine can be false, today we celebrate a day known as Valentine day, where couples celebrate their love

The story of Kris Paul was pretty sad but also good. Kris really loved his grandfather a lot. One day his cousin informed him that his grandfather was found dead. This really made him not believe the fact that he was murdered. Though, in order to honor him, he decided to score 61 points in the next game. So in the game, he kept thinking of his grandfather,and worked hard to score 61 points. At the end he managed to score 61 points. At the last few seconds of the game, a foul was called. He already scored 61 points, so he decided to miss the shot on purpose. I think this was very honorable to his grandfather because he didn’t want to score another shot, he didn it to honor his grandfather. Also he was able to manage 61 points, which was something very hard in my opinion. He wasn’t selfish as he didn’t want to pass the record, but honor his grandfather.

The topic I did research on is on soccer. Soccer is a sport where you use your feet, and can’t use your hands, and use kicking to move the ball. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Teams play against other teams to try to make a goal. Eleven players in each team play and try to use teamwork to play. In tv, people see international or club soccer. The difference of these two is that in international soccer, teams that represent their country play. In club soccer, people from different countries are able to play. To play soccer you don’t need any skills to play, but you just need thinking. Basically in soccer you need teamwork to score goals on your opponent's team. In soccer you can play as an attacker, defense, middle, or goalie. Soccer came in China, parts of asia, and many civilizations from the americas. England introduced the sport soccer to the world. The organization of soccer is FIFA which is the government of soccer. They control many soccer events, like the world cup. There is many cups and leagues in the world that are played. One of the exciting cups for me would be the World cup. In the world cup, 32 international teams play to go win the cup. There is also cups and leagues for club soccer. One of the leagues I see would be the MX which is a soccer league in Mexico.

A place I would like to go to would be Mexico City in Mexico. Mexico City is the Capital of Mexico and the city has a lot of history. Mexico City was a city built by the aztecs. The city was known as Teotihuacan. Mexico city has a lot of work and offices.Mexico City hasd education and has a huge population. One fact that surprises me about the city is that the city is slowly sinking as it was built in a lake. The reason I want to go is to explore the traditions of Mexico. Mexico’s tradition is a combination of Aztecs and Spanish people. Mexico City has many things, like museums  and good food. So I would like to visit the city, as the city really makes me want to go. A place I would visit from Mexico City would be the angel monument.

During my vacations I was lazy so I didn’t do anything, and  I used my phone. I traveled to San Jose to visit my godparent and other family members. It was pretty cool and lit during when I reached to San Jose, only thing was that the trip was very long. I actually got the chance to meet one of my cousins who came from Mexico recently. I watched several movies during my break, like the Jungle book that came out recently. I mostly played soccer with my cousins and friends. One CTR experience was when I gave my little sister a present that cost a lot of money which was limited edition. I didn't read any books. I didn't have homework to do. I mostly enjoyed my vacations doing nothing, but I did travel to San Jose. I visited several family members up north.         

Class Evaluation

1.I like several things from this class. One of them is learning how to be a ctr student. I really like to learn that in order to achieve to reach high in life, you have to be a ctr person. I really like to learn about these lessons through student success statements. I also like helping around the class,which is another thing I enjoy about it.

2. In this class, there is not a thing that I don't like. I think that this class has no flaws, nor things that I don't like. One thing I kind of don't like though is that there isn't really any typing websites that we are allowed to use.

3.One thing that can be change is the amount of websites of typing we are available to. I think that that is all, because I think that there is no other thing that has to be changed. Another thing would be giving free time to those who finish their assignments and any other thing that they are finished with.

4. One highlight would be when we saw the video of the kid who lit up the grass of his back yard because he was disobedient. This is a highlight because we learned how obedience is very important to be a ctr person

5.I kind of did do my best in this class. I always try on finishing my assignments with effort. I not only try hard on finishing things, but also try hard on learning how to type.

6. I'm going to be honest, I really don't do this daily, because I am usually busy. I do this like 4-5 times a week. Though even though I don't do this daily, I am going to try to put this as a daily task, even if i don’t have the time.

7. I am committed to do a ctr student. One thing that I learned is to be a ctr person this year. Doing the correct choice has helped me a lot throughout this semester. So I am committed to do be a ctr person. I have started to be more successful than before because I decided to become a ctr person.

It was about a kid named Patrick Curium who got stung by a scorpion. It happened when Patrick and his family went to camp in the desert. The parents of the kid told Patrick that he should always wear his shoes instead of flip flops when he goes exploring. Patrick disobeyed that and payed the consequences. While he was exploring with his flip flops, he got stung by a scorpion. He began to scream, and his parents went to where he was at. Immediately they went to the van and headed to the nearest hospital. The kid luckily managed to survive. The kid learned a valuable lesson:always wear shoes instead of flip flops., and listen to the right. I feel very happy that he survived, and learned that parents don’t put rules to annoy you, but do it for your good. This video shows how life really is, and that we should listen, not disobey.

WW2

There was several countries that fought against the Nazis. All the countries that fought against Germany, and/or its other allies, were U.S.A, Soviet Union, Britain, Canada, France, Australia, and China. WW2 mainly happened in arts of European countries, islands in the pacific ocean, and countries in eastern Asia. There was many events in world war 2, like in September 1939, where the axis power invades Poland. Another event would be bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 7,1941. The event of dropping of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima  August 6,1945, lead to the retreat of Japan. The end of WW2 happened in September 2,1945, when Japan surrendered. To show respect to WW2 veterans, we can listen to their stories, and we can also thank them for fighting for their nation,and for fighting to make this war over with.

Challenges Teens Face Today

Today teens face drugs, gangs, depression, academic problems, cyber addiction,bullying,and more. These problems influence not only them as teens, but also their future. Currently I am kind of facing academic problems and cyber addiction. In academic problems, I am struggling a little to pass my test and quizzes in my English class. I am trying to keep up with my work, and now I am studying a lot harder. Also I have cyber addition, because I am always in my phone. I use my phone for about 4 hours a day, and keeps me from doing more important stuff. I decided to first do the most important things before using my phone. These two issues come hand-in-hand, because my phone keeps me from studying, which affects my academic progress. Being a ctr person makes you choose decisions that are good, and avoid the bad ones. These things that teens face are usually caused by bad decisions. If teens where ctr people, then they wouldn't be facing with this at the first place. They would chooses the good decisions instead of the bad. Well, I can help them by telling them that we are all into this together. What I'm referring to is that there is many teens in the world who are also facing these challenges, so they are not alone. There is many other teens out there who know how they are feeling. I would also tell them to tell people you trust about your challenges, so you can be supported through what you are going through.

Teens have their parents, who need to be supported by them. This is important because it helps the teens know that they are others supporting them.

Thanksgiving week

My week was very lit. I did a lot of things during my week. I did homework, which was a lot. I had to finish 3 essays, math problems, and science homework. I watched several soccer matches, especially the match between America vs Chivas. I was mostly at my house during the whole vacation. I was sometimes with my friends, who are lit. I watched like 2 movies with my siblings. I also played soccer with my family members. On thanksgiving, I  celebrated it with over 25 members. It was very good day because we were together at one place.We had a great feast, and I really had a great time. I went to black friday shopping with my parents. We bought several things, like a new desktop. I spent some days doing homework, including reading a book. I have completed my assignments I was assigned to do. I spent a great time with my family and friends .

Thanksgiving is day that is celebrated in the 4th Thursday of November. Thanksgiving is a day where we give thanks for what god has offered us, and for being thanked for things that have happened. There is debate on the origins of thanksgiving. Indian Americans would always have ceremonies to celebrate due to good harvest in spring.  The settlers celebrated this in celebrated in 1621, where  Plymouth colonist and Indian Americans had a peaceful gathering. Overtime, in the 1600s and onwards, it became more celebrated throughout the years. to celebrate this in America. America celebrated this as a way for giving thank. It became official in 1783, where George Washington celebrated this in the first official thanksgiving. Today, we usually celebrate this holiday with cooked turkey, mashed potato, pasta, and beans. In the table,we give our thanks to anything before we eat. Reflection:I think that thanksgiving is a holiday we shouldn’t only celebrate, but a day where we show everything we are grateful. It is a good holiday from the past 300 years. I like celebrating this holiday, because many families go together to share things we give thanks to.

Veterans day is the day that honors military veterans. Veterans day is in November 11.The purpose is to show respect to those veterans from the United States. We should honor those in veterans day because it shows that we share thanks to those who served in military. These veterans fought for the country, and even gave their lives for it. One way to support veterans is to go to a veteran and to make them tell their story. Veterans have stories full of bravery and full of fights. You can also visit a veteran in the hospital. You can also tell thank you to a veteran. You can attend to veteran parades and events.

Veterans day shows the support to those  who fought in wars. There is a few veterans left existing from WW2. I say that veterans day is a good day to honor them veterans. In a few years, the veterans from ww2 won’t exist, that’s why we have veterans day supporting dead and alive veterans. --------------------------------

It started with the two teams. Gainesville tornadoes team didn’t have any fans, which made that team sad. One day, against a team, the team was surprised,. There was many fans from the other team, supporting them. The team had it’s own cheerleaders and fans. The team was very surprised and happy. I feel very happy about hearing this story. In the video, even a kid said that it was it didn’t feel right without any supporters. That became a reality, where there was a lot of fans. It made me feel that things can be accomplished.
